How billing and limits work
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing period. Playbooks and data are preserved when you change plans.
A task run is one automated action that Sauna Labs executes on your behalf - creating a record, sending a notification, updating a field, or similar. Steps that pause for your approval are not counted as task runs. You can see your usage in the dashboard at any time.
When you approach your limit, Sauna Labs will notify you. If you reach the limit, playbooks will pause rather than silently fail. You can upgrade to restore capacity or wait until the next billing cycle resets your count. Nothing is lost - playbooks resume from where they stopped.
No contract, no minimum. Free is free with no credit card required. Team and Scale are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time from your account settings and your data is available for export for 30 days after cancellation.
Seats are for people who log in to review, edit, or approve playbook steps. If a playbook sends a Slack notification to someone who does not need to manage workflows in Sauna Labs, they do not need a seat. The limit applies to active users in your account.
